The historic Grade-II Listed 19th Century building, in the heart of Birmingham’s commercial business district, is being stylishly transformed into high-end contemporary office space.

At one of Birmingham’s most prestigious addresses, a stunning transformation is taking place.

Listed construction and development group, Morgan Sindall, are nearing the end of their £30million project to revamp the historic Grade II Listed 19th Century Colmore Row property, transforming it into prime commercial space right in the heart of Birmingham. This major city centre restoration and renovation will offer 160,000 sq. ft. of Grade A office space to rival the capital city’s prime real estate market.

Owner, IM Properties, Investment Director John Hammond said:

"Our aim is to create an entirely unique proposition within the Birmingham property market, creating a sense of contemporary quality, from the specification of the floorplates experienced on arrival, right down to the internal finishes.”

Steeped in history, Colmore Row is the site of many Grade I and II listed properties, including the English Baroque St. Philip’s Church which was completed in 1725. It then became the city’s cathedral in 1905, and now provides the impressive foreground to 55 Colmore Row.

The scale of the redevelopment work has been immense. Architects, AHR, are working with Morgan Sindall to reveal and emphasise the building’s historic features, whilst providing a contemporary workplace to match today’s modern efficiency standards.

Our Quadra door system was the perfect accompaniment to the luxury finish these offices required. Quadra doors are the ideal solution in contemporary office buildings, such as 55 Colmore Row, since the robust hinge is fully concealable offering a discreet design for a sleek, smooth wall profile.

Maximising space, minimising effort.

This system can be finished in the same paint as the surrounding wall, to create a consistent high-quality aesthetic appearance.

The redevelopment of 55 Colmore Row is due to be completed in the Autumn. For more information, visit www.55colmorerow.co.uk
