Timber doors can face huge challenges from wind and rain on projects causing them to become twisted, warped and therefore noncompliant. When the door closes, it doesn’t sit flush with the door frame as would be expected of it normally. Delamination can occur on the door and sometimes there are attempts to correct this using screws that are noncompliant. The door hinges can start to fail causing the door to drop and creating widening gaps between the door and the frame itself.
However Tempus is designed to withstand the conditions of a construction site whilst still maintaining compliance at all times as it has a heavy duty steel core, with a mineral wool core.
