This innovation has been introduced to our range due to the legislation change requiring lift shaft temporary doors to be fire rated.
Tempus is the first temporary lift shaft that is fully compliant. Tempus Lift Shaft has been tested to EN1634 to provide 60 minute (FD60) fire resistance in both directions and is smoke sealed. Designed for maximum durability and to be used on multiple construction sites, Tempus Lift Shaft has also been load and impact tested to BS EN 13374:2013+A1:2018 and BS 5234-2:1992 Annex E.
100% pre-fabricated, the four-sided doorsets are constructed from heavy-duty steel. Tempus Lift Shaft is designed to withstand the rigours of a construction site whilst maintaining fire compliance throughout project duration. All parts are exchangeable in the event of damage making them infinitely re-usable!
Tempus Lift Shaft is a re-usable fire lift shaft used to provide fire and edge protection to lift shaft openings during the heavy construction phases of a project.
Tempus Lift Shaft can be moved from project to project; maintaining compliance throughout multiple construction sites inline with the JCOP for fire protection on construction sites.

The simple surface mounted installation makes it to install extremely quick and simple. The doorset is face-fitted to the wall, this ensures the doorset can accommodate varying tolerances. If required, our technical team can assist with any installation queries on-site.
The door will open to 180° opening for clear access and with an integrated safety gate to provide a fall arrest when the door is open. The safety gate is supplied with a quick release sprung loaded shoot bolt and 100mm integral kickboard.
