Selo have been long-standing supporters of the Rapid Relief Team with several Selo employees members of the RRT and many members of the team participating in fundraising schemes for the associated charities.
The Rapid Relief Team is an initiative of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and aims exists to provide compassion in action and support communities in need. The RRT supports numerous charities across the globe and aims to provide support internationally in events such as earthquakes or floods to provide food and refreshment.
Sales Director at Selo, Harry Purdom, is a local team leader and has been a member for 8 years. Harry has helped support the local community in floods and during Christmas, to raise money and provide support during difficult times.
Harry said: “The RRT is all about providing support to those most in need, such as homelessness, children in poverty and those with health issues. Internationally, we support in emergency and disaster relief.
“We have had training and have certification for food safety and DBS to ensure we can help those who need it most.”
Selo have also held fundraising activities for RRT, with members of staff running marathons, a 24-hour cycle and sleep outs.
The RRT are a global organisation and have worked closely with other countries on days such as international nurses day in America, Argentina, Caribbean, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Selo also supports numerous charities, such as The Grace Trust.
