Here at Selo, we have some exciting news to share: we will be moving to new premises in 2025 to accommodate the increase in demand and staff. We have acquired the new premises with the goal of manufacturing 50,000 doorsets a year.
We are a market-leading supplier of concealed frame doorsets, riser doors, and smoke control corridor dampers. Last year, we also acquired a timber door manufacturer, Modulo Doorsets, to apply the same level of expertise and service they provide to Selo, as well as offer customers the complete door package.
“The move to Selo House couldn’t be happening at a better time, and it is a fantastic opportunity for our customers and staff to scale up with us,” said Managing Director Hans Purdom.
“Bringing the manufacturing and offices into the same building will consolidate skills and control for a world-class manufacturing setup and provide the best possible customer experience. We are starting a new chapter that will offer a completely new level of excellence in door manufacturing for our customers.”
“We have ambitious growth targets, as well as an exciting new product development roadmap. Product innovation is at the heart of what we do, and having the whole team on one site to help deliver innovative new solutions that achieve fire compliance and create beautiful interiors for our customers is what has inspired the move.”
Founded in 2007 by Managing Director Hans Purdom, we are now a team of 66 dedicated members. Due to rapid growth and the acquisition of the timber door business Modulo Doorsets, we are moving to a new, larger headquarters where both office staff and the factory will operate from one location.
The decision to move to larger premises was made to provide a new level of quality and excellence to customers by having office staff and manufacturing working together in one location. The new premises will also accommodate our goal of manufacturing 50,000 doorsets a year, as well as providing space for additional staff.
In Q2 2025, Selo House will be located in Tongwell, Milton Keynes. The three-storey building will include the factory, offices, an on-site gym, and a kitchen area where the chef will provide a cooked lunch every day.
Selo is also a leading voice in the fire compliance industry, with team members contributing to renowned publications such as FIS. Our products undergo rigorous fire testing to ensure maximum fire compliance. Selo has already spent 1,360 minutes on fire testing this year, with five more fire tests to complete before the end of 2024.
