The Shard was envisioned as a ‘Vertical City’ with different occupants forming a vibrant community. We got the chance to contribute to the 17th floor of this distinctive building.

The architect, Renzo Piano, and the contractors defied criticisms and overcame challenges to ensure that this skyscraper regenerated the area now known as London Bridge Quarter. ‘Outstanding architecture is the reason that millions of people are visiting the viewing galleries, office occupiers are reporting an uplift in business, and Londoners especially are embracing this magnificent building,’ says the Shard’s developer, Irvine Sellar.

World-class offices

A range of blue-chip companies have been attracted to lease the world-class office space, from media networks to intellectual property lawyers. We worked closely with the architect, client and contractor on the design of our Arriva and Innova doorsets. With fully concealed frames, they were the ideal solution for a sleek effect. The flawless interior complements the glittering architecture. It proved to be the perfect match for the high-flying new tenants.
